Kitchen remodeling has turned colorful these days as homeowners seek to define this prime real estate in the home with personality befitting their lifestyle. Kitchens still remain the most popular interior room to be upgraded and the room that understandably commands the highest spend, according to a recent survey conducted by Houzz.

Kitchen cabinet color trends will favor white or warm white finishes far into the future but we’re seeing homeowner’s showcasing personal favorite color finishes like blues, grays, greens, warm whites in single color hues or combinations of color hues.

Kitchen color trends several years ago favored the kitchen island as a stand-out focus piece; now we’re seeing entire kitchens in living color throughout, yet trimmed out with accent colors that complement the entire space.

An eclectic combination of blue hues are also becoming popular, especially in vintage homes that come stacked with a ton of character. Here we see many shades and application of blues that have a unifying effect on the overall kitchen design.

White kitchens (in a variety of different color hues) will always be an attractive choice but a pop of color will always set your kitchen apart like that special seasoning in a recipe that brings added flavor to a traditional dish!
