I love an inspired design project that relates to its owners personality and lifestyle. This amazing custom kitchen remodel made me pause for a second and third look, then of course I had to share it. The project was birthed between two designer friends, a favorite bracelet and a less than functional and dated kitchen.

Designed by Chicago based Lauren O’Brien, this bright, white kitchen with taupe and gray undertones is steeped in traditional design with modern accents. Scale was important in this expansive kitchen which is open to the living and dining area in the home. The existing terra-cotta flooring imported from France and massive architectural features unify the overall design.

Popular kitchen trends such as double islands, stainless-steel fixtures and appliances, natural stone countertops, polished-nickel hardware, custom cabinetry and white-gray color schemes are pronounced in this remodel project.

Accessories such as sconces from Holly Hunt that flank the built-in refrigerator and freezer, polished nickel hardware, Lucite Ghost stools, clear wire-wrapped light fixtures make this kitchen a winner.

A beautiful and perfect wrap for this inspiring kitchen remodel project!

I love your white kitchen, especially the scaled zinc range hood! Keep sharing!
