Color is an important design element when it comes to transitioning your home decor for any season and for fall, bold and bright is in. We’re seeing color making a splash in neutral interiors that invite the season in through accessories, darker finishes on furnishings, fabric treatments, art and flooring.

There is no lack of inspiration and support with this movement into deeper tones with the introduction of Benjamin Moore’s 2017 Color of the Year, Shadow (2117-30). This rich, royal amethyst encourages us to embrace our deep history and sophisticated heritage that shaped us while looking forward to a seamless more contemporary future.

For fall design inspiration I’m simply offering spaces that inspire and invite bold color elements. These interior spaces have applied color to their interiors that embrace fall. They invite you to a slower life pace, a season to “fall back” and retreat from a hectic year, to fall in love with being home more and taking advantage of this season.

And while you’re at it, enjoy incorporating a few of these fall design trends into your own home decor!
