Light green stucco exterior topped off with a java colored concrete tile roof built on the southern coast of Florida appropriately describes the HGTV Smart Home 2021. Situated on a secluded cul-de-sac that enjoys serene views of wetlands that afford the perfect elements of rest and relaxation, this 2,500 square foot open concept new build is right at home. Built by Mayor Construction and designed by Tiffany Brooks, the inviting open concept entry and expanded interior and exterior living space with views is a breath of fresh air.

Smart home features are thoughtfully placed in every space of the home stemming from the Smart Hub, where all the automated systems that control the house are located. You’ll notice a Simplisafe water sensor on the floor of the pantry; smart tech enabled lighting that can mimic the sunrise in the bedrooms or interior lighting that can be adjusted or dimmed using smart tech to fully customize the light in every room. I really love the built-in intelligence technology on the kitchen island that allows you to quickly charge your devices by placing it on the counter’s charging area.

Natural light was also a key design factor as the HGTV Smart Home open concept allows access from room to room to the outdoor spaces. The light and airy color scheme complements the colors of nature as a natural flow from exterior to interior. The master bedroom is equipped with three skylights (with blinds) to bring the point home of allowing as much natural light in as possible.

A blend of bold and serene color tones give this smart home an updated, modern feel. Blues, white and gray define the bold and modern, state of the art kitchen with its striking blue and white tile backsplash, white washed tile floors and built-in beverage station. Smart technology is found in the smart faucet, touchless and programmable; and a refrigerator with a built-in smart screen.
The powder room includes a voice-activated lighted mirror that allows your guests to adjust brightness for grooming, check the weather or just play music.

Outdoor features were not forgotten in this smart home with outdoor dining supported with a super efficient outdoor kitchen equipped with an outdoor refrigerator, storage cabinets, smart pizza oven and five-burner gas grill.

Access to the outdoor activities runs across the rear of the home from the kitchen to the master bedroom.

The Lanai is equipped with a remote operated, motorized two-layered screen for use as weather commands its use.
Smart features abound in the modern bath suites that are worth taking a look at as well as the interior design accents that make the HGTV Smart Home 2021 an inspiration for future home renovation projects!
