As promised, ‘Table Top Decorating Trends: Part II’ is pleased to reveal to you the results of our (Loretta’s Interior Design) participation in a local community event, “Alpharetta’s Table ~ Decorating for the Holidays.”
As we considered the simple instructions and design elements posted in Part I – let’s take a look at the results:
Theme Designers were given a choice of themes and I chose Thanksgiving.
Table Covering Once my theme was determined the colors of Fall became my inspiration, specifically greens and browns.
Centerpiece Not so tall that it would hinder conversation around the table yet colorful enough to evoke relationship between all the design elements of the table setting.
Set the Tone Casual elegance is my middle name with this setting. Beginning with the bronze/chocolate chargers to the mix of old and new place setting, especially the touch of green in the glassware is functional and beautiful. The stemware adds just the right brightness.
Accessorize Bringing in a bit of formality with the old monogrammed linen tied with a sheer ribbon is the perfect finishing touch with a hint of southern hospitality tucked in with the ice-tea spoon.
So much fun to do and hoping that I have passed along a little inspiration for your holiday table for this season and the ones to come!
Loved your table! Beautiful suggestions!
Thank you so much!
